Editing Photo analysis

From the beginning of this process, I knew that I would be cutting out most of my pictures to put on a colorful background because that fits my genre. 

                            
                                                    
 

I did get many pictures from my initial photoshoot but to fit my genre and target audience I needed more people who looked different, so when I was at school or a school event I took pictures of my friends when they were wearing dynamic outfits. I also took more pictures of myself to fill out more of the pages. 
 











I wanted to be creative so I made cutouts of hands to show jewelry.




For pictures I did not cut out I made frames for them and this is done a lot in teen magazines.


Another note to mention is that I did not fix imperfections in my models because as my target audience is young girls/feminine people I would not want to set unrealistic beauty standards.

                                                                   Changing faces     Original Photo   In photoshop I used the liquify tool to change/edit this woman's face. To begin with, I changed her face by making it slimmer and her jawline more pronounced. I did a slight change in the eye area by making them closer together and making the left eye more open. I made her smile and lips bigger. I also mad her nose smaller and lower on her face. I think my changes were subtle yet effective. These techniques will help me in my final process by making my photos look professional and near perfect.

About me   Hello, my name is Jakayla Moody( yes my last name fits perfectly). I am 18 years old and a senior at the illustrious Dillard High 6-12 where I have been attending since the 6th grade. Specifically, I attend Dillard Center of the Arts where I major in vocal both classical and show choirs. Within the performing arts program, I am a part of the Marching Band and am the co-president of the commercial music program. I have been participating in and passing Cambridge courses since the 9th grade and am currently working towards attaining the AICE diploma this upcoming spring/summer graduation. I enjoy creating in many facets: art/drawing, singing/instrumentation, and creating digitally. So I will enjoy this class this school year. Double Page Spread Analysis

Spread 1: Tiger Beat The picture of Cameron Dallas is large, takes up both pages and is behind all the text to bring attention to it. The text is on the right side of the page and is consolidated into one box, it also has the traditional drop cap at the start of the text. The quote is on the right side as well and is more significant than the rest of the text on the page and all the text is sanserif. A Masthead is in the top left corner and the baseline says Cameron's name. Also on the right is more pictures of Cameron and a plug "EXCLUSIVE" that will catch the reader's attention.  Spread 2: Teen Vogue This Teen Vogue spread is different because there are multiple images of Ariana Grande, as opposed to one picture that takes up the whole page. The text is split between both pages, with a lead before it begins. Around both pages, multiple small boxes of text pertain to Ariana Grande and all text is San serif.
