Changes

Throughout this process, I've made many changes. For starters, I have narrowed my target audience to make it easier to create and make it more personal. Previously my target audience was girls/feminine people from ages 16-22 of all races, but now it's aged 13-18(older people can still enjoy it). And it is targeted at black people specifically. My main photoshoot stayed the same but I had to take more pictures of other people at my school to fulfill the pages. My color palette deviated from the one that won in my audience research because the black pink and white color selection is too dark for my genre or at least for the spring edition. Many of my fonts change I did not use Jaggy fries or Macilynn Marie they didn't look good with the rest or were not legible. By the end of this process, I have a better idea of what my genre is, it is more of teeny or teeny bop magazine has opposed to "pop culture".

Editing Photo analysis From the beginning of this process, I knew that I would be cutting out most of my pictures to put on a colorful background because that fits my genre.                                                                                      I did get many pictures from my initial photoshoot but to fit my genre and target audience I needed more people who looked different, so when I was at school or a school event I took pictures of my friends when they were wearing dynamic outfits. I also took more pictures of myself to fill out more of the pages.    I wanted to be creative so I made cutouts of hands to show jewelry. For pictures I did not cut out I made frames for them and this is done a lot in teen magazines. Another note to mention i...

Development: Photoshoot

Photoshoot On February 4th, 2023 me and my bestfriend, Sarah Drepaul set out to this photoshoot. I always planned for the setting to be my house, because I will not be using the background in my magazine. I used the camera on the iPhone 11 with the grid and flash settings on for most of the pictures. The model is styled in 5 different types of looks to represent the different types of girls i.e. look #2 is a comfy look while look #5 is an alternative style. All hair and makeup was done by me and the model brought her own clothes with a few touches from my personal wardrobe. Some limitations we faced were space with a lack of "stuff" in the background, time since the model had previous engagements afterwards, as well as creativity. As you can see the poses are very similar or even awkward. Overall, I had lots of fun planning and completing this photoshoot it was a chance to let my creativity or lack thereof flow.  Look 1    Look 2 Look 3 Look 4 Look 5 Behind the scenes
